LPS Industries Hosts April 2017 CIANJ Meeting and Facility Tour

LPS Industries was pleased to host the April 2017 Commerce and Industry Association of New Jersey (CIANJ) meeting which included a tour of our manufacturing facilities. Madeleine Robinson, CEO of LPS Industries, welcomed over 65 CIANJ members who, based on their feedback, thoroughly enjoyed the opportunity to see the start-to-finish steps required to make high barrier custom flexible packaging, packing list envelopes, coex mailing envelopes and recloseable poly bags.

The tour included demonstrations of our 8 color flexographic printing capabilities, laminating the printed layers together to create master rolls of finished custom packaging material, slitting the master rolls into narrower widths and running those narrow width rolls through our converting equipment to produce the finished bags and pouches. The tour group also made a stop in our QA department and in-house testing lab where the visitors had the opportunity to talk with Diane Rutherford, QA Director, and learn about the how we ensure that our products represent a consistently high level of quality that our wide variety of customers require.

After the tour concluded, the formal program commenced and was led by Anthony Russo, President, CIANJ. There were three interesting and timely presentations addressing the state of business and industry under the Trump administration and the state of manufacturing in general. The speakers included John Savercool, Managing Director, UBS America, Jim Gillespie, Of Counsel, Jackson Lewis and John Kennedy Ph.D., CEO, New Jersey Manufacturing Extension Program.

We thank all of the attendees for their interest, the speaker roster for their educational and insightful presentations, the sponsors of the event including Cohn Reznick, Electronic Office Systems, GZA GeoEnvironmental, Hunter Group, Plast-O-Matic Valves and U.S. Trust and of course the CIANJ.
