VP Finance & Accounting

The ideal candidate will provide leadership and coordination of company financial planning, debt financing, and budget management functions and ensure company accounting procedures and reporting conform to generally accepted accounting principles. Essential functions: establish financial objectives, accounting policies and procedures; consults with CEO on financial matters; financial statements/budgets presentation and preparation, both internal and external; cash management – bank negotiations, forecasts and investments; risk management – ensures there is adequate insurance coverage at the best price; reviews and appraises acquisitions accounting for maintenance and leases; directs the tax accounting activity, ensuring various tax returns and reports are filed appropriately; oversees costing activity & inventory valuation; supervises all phases of the accounting and purchasing departments; works closely with the MIS department to untangle and improve accounting programs, and act as liaison between various departments. Education & experience: CPA required; minimum undergraduate degree in Accounting or equivalent experience; small family owned business experience preferred; 10 years experience at small to mid-sized manufacturing company. Director of R&D/QA/QC

Our ideal candidate will be responsible for the implementation of the quality management system by overseeing the QC department, interfacing with sales on the development of new customers and new products, keep current on new materials being developed, work with manufacturing to improve existing products and processes and hold the primary position of choice for ISO management representation. Must have a degree in Engineering &/or 10 years experience in the converting industry, knowledge of flexographic printing, narrow and wide web, SAL laminations, statistics, analytical test equipment, ISO and GMP required. GRAPHIC ARTIST/FLEXOGRAPHY PREPRESS ASSISTANT

Essential functions include: preflight incoming artwork from emails, disks, internet or other means; create art for in house jobs and for customer orders from supplied samples or from scratch using tools such as Illustrator and Photoshop and other art creating programs; responsible for producing proofs for customer approval from supplied or created art; preparing files for Polymer Plates processing; QC incoming printing polymer plates from vendors and also in house printing plates; inspect printed jobs for errors and how art and printing plates can be improved in the next run.
Education & Experience: high school graduate or GED, trade school, some college a plus; minimum of 1 year prior experience in graphics for flexography printing industry; must have experience in creating vector art using Illustrator, Photoshop or other art creating programs. Cost Accountant

Candidate needs 10 years of cost accounting experience in a multi product manufacturing environment. Must be able to “jump right in” and use your “take charge” personality. Should be detail oriented and a problem solver. Be experienced in creating multi level Bills of Material and analyzing profit margins on individual products. Machine Operators – All Shifts

Maintenance Mechanic 2nd Shift

Applicants should have a minimum of 5 years experience as an industrial mechanic in a manufacturing plant environment; knowledge of mechanical and basic electrical repair of plant systems equipment and machinery; strong knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics, electrical circuits, machine controls and plant systems; experience in flexible film converting, coating, printing or packaging a plus. Production Planner/Scheduler

Ensure timely creation, release, and maintenance of all work orders through tracker and scheduler programs.

Ensure accurate and timely entry of labor hours, material issues and WIP’s against orders.

Develop reports supportive of production performance evaluation. Maintain the B.O.M. for all stock and quasi stock items.Overall responsibility for accuracy of raw and finished goods inventory. Resolve and record all discrepancies.Conduct physical inventory counts as required. Ensure cycle counts are conducted to promote accurate inventories between physical counts. Establish and monitor the production schedule for all orders.

Purchasing Agent

Responsibilities include general purchasing of raw materials and finished goods used by various departments. Coordinate deliveries and material specifications with Production and Sales as well as vendors. Relay input from Production and Sales about product quality and performance. Report market changes and price increases to Sales, Accounting, and Production.

Must have ability to negotiate with vendors. Offer assistance to various departments relating to materials purchased. Review and requisition manufacturing orders to replenish stock items.

Plant Engineer

B.S. in Engineering or related technical field. Hands-on experience in electrical and mechanical troubleshooting; control systems and programming; repair and maintenance of plant systems. Practical knowledge of pneumatics and hydraulics. Experience in an automated manufacturing environment with a focus on driving operating (process and equipment) improvements. Converting, printing or packaging experience preferred but not required. Strong hands-on skills in problem solving and troubleshooting with a strong focus on execution. Extensive experience with machine design, automation and the use of programmable logic controllers (PLC’s). Self-motivated and responsible with mature judgment and initiative. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written), and the ability to work with all levels of suppliers, customers, management and production staff. Provide total engineering leadership and support to Company’s 24/5 production facility. Drive operating improvements through changes and upgrades in equipment design, equipment layout and processing capabilities. Develop capital plans and lead efforts from concept through completion to estimate, specify, design and control capital improvement and major modification/overhaul projects. Quality Assurance Technician

We are currently looking for a QA/QC Tech who will be responsible for verifying product compliance to customer and/or LPS Industries specifications prior to shipment. Documentation of findings, filing and maintenance of records. Notification of discrepancies to appropriate person. Material testing. ISO experience helpful but will train. Some lab experience preferred. One to two years experience in QA/QC functions in the converting industry. Knowledge of statistics.
