LPS Industries Demonstrates Commitment to the Environment with Record Solar Panel Installation
MOONACHIE, NJ., June 8, 2010 – LPS Industries, a diversified manufacturer and leader in the flexible packaging industry, today announced it has completed the largest Solyndra solar panel rooftop installation in the United States, a 704.34kW system. The installation will provide 25% of the power for the 165,000 sq. ft. manufacturing facility and is part of a larger commitment to reduce energy consumption and produce packaging products in the most sustainable manner.
"We have a reputation for our innovation in packaging products and we were looking for equally innovative ways to reduce our energy use and costs," said Madeleine Robinson, CEO, LPS Industries. "We wanted a solar integrator that could deliver the best technology and was sensitive to our facility's limitations. We chose Solis Partners who introduced us to the unique Solyndra product. The reception, which will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., will also serve as an occasion to honor New York Power Authority with an Outstanding Corporate Diversity Award, and member firm LPS Industries, Inc., with an award for its commitment to and long-term support of the NMBC.

LPS Industries at Made in New Jersey Day
May 6, 2010 - LPS Industries LLC, Moonachie NJ, was one of 25 New Jersey based manufacturers recently exhibiting at the New Jersey Business & Industry Association's "Made in New Jersey Day" in the halls of the statehouse. The event was designed to highlight local products and innovations of New Jersey manufacturers.
The Lt. Governor, Senate President, Assembly Speaker and dozens of legislators toured the exhibits that were set up outside the doors of the Senate and Assembly chambers. The LPS Industries exhibit included a number of examples of commercial uses of its broad range of custom laminated foils and films, including medical, nutritional, food, snack and pet food packaging. The exhibit also included samples of customized packaging and shipping solutions LPS supplies to businesses with national and international fulfillment activities.

April 2, 2010 - LPS Industries LLC, Moonachie NJ, is pleased to announce it has been re-certified through April 2012 as an ISO 9001:2000 company. LPS Industries has held it's ISO certification on a consistent basis since 2003.
The International Organization for Standardization (ISO) has developed and maintains a voluntary, market driven set of quality management standards created by consensus among experts in the field and globally relevant in scope.
According to Tony Russo, LPS' Director of Quality, "I am pleased but certainly not surprised we have been re-certified. Quality management is the foundation of what we do everyday and what we strongly feel our customers deserve."

April 7, 2010 - LPS Industries LLC, Moonachie NJ, is proud to announce that Madeleine Robinson, CEO, has been chosen as one of the New Jersey Business and Industry Association's Best 50 Women in Business for 2010.
To be considered for this award, each candidate was required to hold significant decision-making power, as an owner, partner or senior executive in a for-profit organization and live or work in New Jersey. An independent three-judge panel selected this year's winners from a group of many outstanding nominees rating them in three categories: professional accomplishment, community involvement and advocacy for women within the nominee's company, industry and region.
After her undergrad work at Georgetown University and obtaining an MBA at The Wharton School (University of Pennsylvania), Madeleine began a successful career in finance with an international bank and ultimately in the role of president of a securities firm before assuming the leadership role at the company her father founded. Since her arrival at LPS Industries, Madeleine has been instrumental in acquiring many of the current national and international accounts and leading the company through significant growth and technology upgrades since she assumed her current role in 1988.
Madeleine also serves on the boards of the Flexible Packaging Association, the University of Scranton and the Robinson Family Scholarship Fund.
