The General Packaging Group represents the supply and distribution of packaging materials which are designed for the safe storage and transit of commodities to meet international and federal regulations, as well as "commercially acceptable" requirements of freight handlers and forwarders.

The General Packaging Group is made up of three categories, Packaging and Shipping Systems, Identification Products,and Hazardous Material Packaging

 
Packaging Systems
 Includes a wide selection of shipping room supplies, tapes, corrugated products, folding cartons, cushioning materials (Instapak packaging foam, cellulose wadding, Kraft bubble mailers), corrosion protection products (Desiccant, VCI) and damage indicators (Shockwatch, Tip & Tell, Drop & Tell). Many materials meet military specifications (water resistant mil. spec. packing list envelopes). Tape machines, heat sealers, staplers, strapping and stretch machines are also available. Pressure sensitive labels and placards conform fully to the guidelines issued by the U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT). Placards and labels are necessary to alert carriers and others involved to the presence of potentially dangerous and/or sensitive materials that need to be handled with care.		 Hazardous Material Packaging & Shipping Products
 Features a variety of combination packs, labels and placards to meet the entire hazardous shipper's needs. LPS has been granted exemption, DOT-SP 8249 by the Department of Transportation to manufacture, mark and sell packaging for hazardous materials normally required to be labeled. Our DOT/UN approved Hazmat packs are approved for air shipments and include a full line of paint can, glass and plastic bottle and F-style can shippers.
